AI, Tools & Law is an educational platform providing information, tools, and training to legal professionals. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice through this website.

2. Accountability
AI, Tools & Law is responsible for personal information under its control.
A designated Privacy Officer oversees compliance with this Policy and applicable privacy legislation.
Personal information transferred to third party service providers remains subject to contractual and other safeguards intended to ensure a comparable level of protection.

We collect only the personal information necessary to operate the platform and deliver requested services.

Live sessions delivered through platforms such as Zoom are subject to the privacy practices of those providers.
If live sessions are recorded, participants will be notified in advance. Recordings are used for educational and administrative purposes.
Course videos are delivered through third party streaming and content delivery providers. These providers may process technical information such as IP address, device information, and usage data for the purposes of content delivery, performance optimization, and security. Such providers act as service providers and process information on our behalf.
Streaming and content delivery infrastructure may involve processing of technical data across multiple jurisdictions through distributed content delivery networks. Appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
Viewing metrics are used for service performance, security, and internal analytics. We do not use viewing behaviour to create individual user profiles or for behavioural advertising.
3.3 Federated Authentication
You may register or sign in using supported third party authentication providers, such as Google or LinkedIn.
If you use this option, limited information such as your name and email address may be shared with us in accordance with your settings and the provider’s privacy policy.
3.4 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by third party payment processors.
AI, Tools & Law does not store complete credit card numbers or banking details. Payment information is collected and processed directly by the payment processor in accordance with its own privacy policy and security obligations.
3.5 Automatically Collected Information
When you access the website or course platform, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

Testimonials are published only with express consent. Attribution will reflect the scope of consent provided by the individual and may include full name, professional designation, jurisdiction, or a more limited identifier. You will have the opportunity to review and approve the form of attribution prior to publication.
You may request removal or modification of a published testimonial by contacting the Privacy Officer.
7. Automation and Artificial Intelligence
AI, Tools & Law uses technology systems, including automated workflows and artificial intelligence tools, to support:
- Email distribution
- Course administration
- Analytics
- Customer communications
- Operational efficiency
Personal information is used solely to deliver services and manage operations. It is not sold or used to train public artificial intelligence models.
Email communications may include tracking technologies to measure engagement and improve content. We use Brevo, a European-based service, to manage our communications. Your data is stored on secure servers in the EU. You can opt-out of marketing at any time while still receiving transactional receipts for your purchases.
Course administration may involve automated processing for enrollment management and progress tracking. No decision producing legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means.
8. Disclosure of Personal Information
AI, Tools & Law does not sell personal information.
Personal information may be disclosed to service providers that support:

Account holders are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

In the event of a breach involving personal information under our control, AI, Tools & Law will comply with applicable breach notification requirements under PIPEDA and Québec Law 25.
14. Children
The platform is intended for adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16 years of age.

This Policy may be updated periodically. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date.
